Day 5

We started with breakfast at our favorite cafe place; Europan. It was delish. They had Paris-style pastries and homemade, freshly-squeezed orange juice! I'd get a poppy seed bagel with real strawberry cream-cheese:)
I finally got a canoli! :) It was just as good as I expected, actually better

Grand Central Station

The stupendous turquoise ceiling

There was a very cool market inside with pretty flowers, fruits, spices, and more

Don't you love the chandelier?!

Then we went to the Gugenheim. Well, the gift shop that is. We got the idea:)

We met a super cool artist on the street who was from Europe and had unique, colorful art. We bought 4 of his paintings

My momma. And don't you love Ruby's face in the background? haha

Lots of gorgeous buildings

We had one last stroll through Times Square and I bought a Swatch! At the Swatch store, in Times Square:) I love it, it's turquoise and it wraps around your wrist twice which I wasn't sure about, but when I tried it on it was perfect...

I was so sad it was our last day! I'll miss you New York, but I'll be back. And you better be ready!

HOLIDAYS

I was so happy the Mijatovic family came to visit! Even though we're not related my blood, we're family! My lovely grandparents The newlyweds invited us and their friends to see the lights at Temple Square, then enjoy some pie and hot cocoa at their adorable apartment, conveniently located right by the temple. Such fun! Thanksgiving with the Siskins ....And everybody else ;)

Make it your mission to notice the good in every day life. One thing that you can count on is the sun. It rises, it's warm, it gives light. Things we need. Things that are good, life sustaining, bright. Happiness is not a side affect of a perfect life. Waiting to be happy is just plain silly. Happiness wants to come into your life, in fact, it already has, so acknowledge and befriend it. Make it deeper and better with gratitude, consistence and effort. The good in the world is apparent and abundant, just like happiness. Focusing on the good doesn't mean we ignore the sad stuff going on, refuse to ever watch the news, or be ignorant of pressing matters around the world. It just means that you cling to hope, never give up, fight discouragement and let the good into your life. Let the good in, put some good out, let light radiate fr...
