Marukame Udon was our first stop on the island. My mom is a bit obsessed
Trying new, foreign food in the form of curry noodles and deep fried you name it?? Yes PLEASE
I slept in at the hotel while the rest walked about 4 miles to Leonard's for some sugary goodness. I felt a little like a princess.
The Hyatt also offered free classes in lei making, hula and ukulele. Auntie April, the teacher, was a hysterical combination of impatient, sarcastic, curt, nice, talkative, grandmotherly and mean teacherness..... it was highly entertaining. After beginning out the class making fun of us and being rude about the schedule, she said "Now lei making is an act of love and the circle represents the feelings of kindness you feel in making one." I about died. It was so ironically hysterical.
As some of you may know, Ruby and I are quite the traveling companions. Sometimes we refer to each other as Mary-Kate and Ashley. (I'm Mary-Kate, Ruby's Ashley) On several occasions we've looked at each other, bewildered, and said "We are so much cooler than Mary-Kate and Ashley." Walking into our resort hotel was one of those moments. We don't need hollywood or flings with boys or a private jet, we're the real Mary-Kate and Ashley! Golda Cristine and Ruby!!
View from our room. Life was goooooooooood.
I look at this and think YAY!
Spam musubi.
My mom and her deep love for bacon/avacado spam wrapped in seaweed.
Araceli made this bikini out of a one-piece. I never thought I'd wear a bikini, but I wore it on the first day because it was vintage-y and yellow and I'm 18
Oh look, Marukame Udon again!
I do not know why I look so astonished
