Our friends Winifred and Adam and their kids Nancy and Thomas live in the house my grandpa grew up in and that I lived in for about 4 years. It was built in 1912, so Winifred's family was nice enough to have a 100th anniversary party for the house. They've done some serious remodeling and it looks great. I'm so happy they've tried to keep all the original things and still have kept the mood and essence of the house. It's such a beautiful house and I'm glad it has such good owners! It used to be surrounded by open fields and sheep, chickens, and other animals were kept there. It was the only house with an inside toilet with pluming for awhile. It must have been a mansion for its time with 3 levels!   I carved this into the wood of the house when I was about 5. It was supposed to say Golda, but some of my letters are backwards. How embarrassing! I still remember my light pink bedroom with a white standing-dresser with hand-painted flowers on it. Once I clim...

Ari's Eleven!

Happy Birthday Ari! Her real birthday was yesterday and we celebrated with pizza, cupcakes and ice cream. Ari was nice enough to let me go to Park City for a birthday retreat with Tiz and my mom. We had Panda and read and relaxed. Ari is such a talented, gorgeous, creative, free and kind spirited little fire cracker. I'm so lucky that she's my sister! Today she's going to Pepperbellies for lunch and vising Nana while I go swim with some friends. Then this Saturday is her 11 hour party! I need to mentally prepare for that!:) Happy Birthday Celi Belle! The priesthood boys came at the perfect time, to get a cupcake and sing to Ari Hehehe Ari was a little embarrassed to be standing next to my friends Evyn and Kyle.
Yesterday I watched White Nights for my dance class at school. I absolutely loved it! Mikhail Baryshnikov is such an amazing dancer and so is Gregory Hines, who I didn't really know about before I saw it. It was inspired by Mikhail, who defected from Russia to come to America to be free. Gregory Hines was an African-American tap dancer and in the movie they became friends and he helped Mikhail's character, Nikolai escape a second time from Russia. In real life, Mikhail didn't return to Russia after defecting. I also watched Alvin Ailey's Revelations. So good! I loved the strong, purposeful beauty to it. It was so happy and seriously made me want to get up and dance. Mikhail Baryshnikov is amazing!
Halloween kind of came out of no where this year. All the sudden, out of the essays, finals, grades, and tests that are part of the end of the term, it was here! I went trick-or-treating for a few streets with my family before I went home to finish homework before my party. I actually really missed my mom's annual Halloween Party, but it was nice for her to have a break. It takes a lot of time, energy, effort and money. She still had to have a party though so she of course helped me with mine and did an amazing one for her friends. I'm so so so glad this week is over, longest school week of my life. Ever. Term 1 is officially over! Now that's kind of spooky. My new friend Tigger I was a Mexican Skeleton Day of the Dead thing. The makeup was fun, especially since that's all I did. Tizzy's first Halloween! She was Bambi and I'm not sure why she had whiskers...

Nutcracker Pictures

This year has been so fun to be in Snow. I'm already thinking about next year though, my friend Emma and I want to be Reed Flutes together. Wouldn't our red hair look great with the costume?:) I love love love the Snow costumes, and the music, and how fake snow falls during the dance. I'm also excited for the speical experience of dancing onstage with Ballet West soloists! Clytie's gives you so many amazing opportunities! The picture wasn't totally what I wanted it to be, but the costume and hairpiece are so gorgeous and I love my group! Here's a peek at Nutcracker:)....
Last night I went to the Utes game with my dad. I hadn't been to one for a couple years so I was excited to go, especially since it was the black out game! We went to Zuppa's for dinner and I got a turkey, avocado, bacon panini and coconut, pumpkin soup. Y-U-M! Then we headed to the game which was against Cal. We won! I understand some of football but I mostly just stood and clapped when everyone else did. There was an exciting touchdown though when Reggie Dunn ran the ball back twice for a hundred yards. Meanwhile, the rest of the fam was at the Ward Party. I was actually kinda sad I couldn't go, but all my Junior and Senior friends were at the Halloween Dance at DHS anyway. Tolly was adorable and Ro's sushi roll costume is so funny and cute! And Tizzy made a great Bambie. Can't wait till Halloween! I love Autumn!! Sushi Ro! I just love this picture, that's totally his personality. "I'm going to take this and you'll let me have it. Ok...
