My name

I got my name from my great grandma; Golda Jane Burton King. My middle name is also my grandma and mom's middle name. Mary Kristine, Circe Christine and Golda Cristine. I guess they all ended up being spelled differently, which is fun:)
I love love love my name. I love that it's unique and therefore I feel it fits me better. I don't have to deal with having 2 other Golda's in my classes like the Emilys have to do in Dance Company:)
You will hear/write/say your name about 584,000 times in your life if you live to be 80 (Yes, I did the math:))
That's a lot of time to deal with one word!
I also love middle names. They add sparkle to a name and if you have a name of one of your ancestors, you'll naturally be closer to them and want to learn more about them.
Thanks mom and dad for choosing my name carefully! :)
Love,
Golda Cristine Dopp

HOLIDAYS

I was so happy the Mijatovic family came to visit! Even though we're not related my blood, we're family! Such fun! Thanksgiving with the Siskins ....And everybody else ;)

Make it your mission to notice the good in every day life. One thing that you can count on is the sun. It rises, it's warm, it gives light. Things we need. Things that are good, life sustaining, bright. Happiness is not a side affect of a perfect life. Waiting to be happy is just plain silly. Happiness wants to come into your life, in fact, it already has, so acknowledge and befriend it. Make it deeper and better with gratitude, consistence and effort. The good in the world is apparent and abundant, just like happiness. Focusing on the good doesn't mean we ignore the sad stuff going on, refuse to ever watch the news, or be ignorant of pressing matters around the world. It just means that you cling to hope, never give up, fight discouragement and let the good into your life. Let the good in, put some good out, let light radiate fr...
