last full day in USA... (for a while)

Today we went shopping at Uniqlo. We were very successful! I have gotten six shirts and three skirts there:) Next we went to the Lindt store ...again. But this time we got one hundred! We had lunch at a cute health cafe. I got spinach salad with cranberries, mushrooms, green peppers, and honey mustard sauce, and tofu. It was a refreshing change! Next we went to the Brooklyn Bridge and it. Was. Dang. Hot. !!! We were sweating buckets! Dad did his traditional crawl across the bridge:) (inside joke) weren't in the mood to ride the Subway again so we took a ferry. It was so beautiful and another magical moment:) the sights are so beautiful! We got gelato again after regrouping at our place. We headed out to do a pizza crawl next. We tried a white sauce slice with caramelized onions and a hint of lemon and ricotta on a sesame seed crust, then a slice of tomato and basil and mozzarella and lastly a striped square slice of super fresh tomato sauce and lots a cheese. Dad and I voted the second as our favorite and Ruby liked the last. Ya, it was good.
We just finished packing so we can have a relaxing breakfast before heading to the airport tomorrow. This has been an amazing trip and I'm so glad we could spend it with dad. I just wish mom could have come! Next time:)
Thanks NYC!!

So my parents are off to Paris with Freestone and Tizzy. Lucky ducks! My grandparents are staying with us some of the time, but a lot of babysitting and homework is in-store for me this next week and a quarter so I was kinda stressed out. I spaced all my homework and remembered at 11 pm last night that I had a 100 question biology test, 2 Honors English assignments (That included reading) and 6 pages of math. So I woke up at 6, did it, planned to do the math during lunch and got ready in about 2.7 minutes. Luckily, I had tutorial so I went to get Algebra 2 help and finished that. Yay! And my science test turned out to be good, I could use notes and a textbook. I am so relieved right now and I think Heavenly Father helped a lot today. The Epic of Gilgamesh has nothin' on me today! :) PS Have fun in Paris guys! We'll miss you but not too much, I mean You're In Paris! :)

Happy New Year!

2014 will be a great year! It's 1:46 am right now so I will blog more tomorrow but I just can't believe it's January and the start of another brand new year! Yay for 2k14!!! On New Years Eve I went to a friends house to party! We watched Back to the Future and had treats, played games, and talked. We counted down, watched the ball drop, made fun of Miley Cyrus. There were a lot of people so it was really fun. On New Years Day we visited Nana, saw Frozen, went to Coco's and dad, mom and Ruby and I went to dinner. I'd been wanting to go to Rio Grande for awhile so we drove up to SLC. When we got there it was closed! So, change of plans, we went to Royal India in Bountiful instead. I'm so glad we did!! I love Indian food and it was delicious!! We got garlic, regular and a sweet naan and lamb sagg, coconut chicken and butter chicken and a mango lasse! Heaven. It was fun to just spend time with my parents and Ruby. They are really good about taking time to give u...
There are so many things that make up a person. I know that "things" isn't the right word, but I can't think of something that adequately describes what a person even  would  be made of. Dreams, accomplishments, interests, regrets, mistakes, wishes, relationships, etc. I love ballet. I want to teach ballet, and I want to dance ballet. It's part of who I am. But my heart also yearns for the actress side of me. The little bite of real acting that I got at the age of ten in a production of Babes in Toyland in Salt Lake City. The countless drives to Ogden for rehearsals of Music Man when I was twelve. The ten-hour dress rehearsals of Jana's plays throughout high school. I miss that. My heart yearns for the flute. The peak of my playing my Senior year when I was practicing daily and could play Carnival of Venice like a pro. When I began to see what my practicing had accomplished and considered going on to play in a symphony. I miss French. Learning an entire other ...
