Seattle

This was one the funnest, short, unexpected trips we've ever had! I'm glad I went since I had to fly home early from the across-the-country trip.
The drive was pretty good going up, it was so fun to see Zeljko and Jen and their cute kids. They are seriously adorable. Anders is so big! We had yummy pizza and chocolate cookies and my dad even rode Anders' little dirt bike!

Leaving at 4 in the morning was rough, but at least we got there faster. On the way up we stopped at a waterfall that reminded me of what dinosaur-era times would have looked like. The huge canyon filled with turquoise water and the uneven cliffs with little pools and then the big waterfall were so pretty! The fall leaves also added to the scene. Tizzy and I played in them for awhile. She thought when I gathered some and threw them over her that it was the funnest thing ever!
We hit the hotel and then Pike's Place. What a fun market! I got a super good falafel and chocolate-covered macaroon. The others tried huckleberry Greek yogurt, multiple pastries, Russian peasant-food, apple samples, and chowder. We saw them throw fish, took pictures by the famous pig, and saw many street performers. My favorite was an older man working for money to learn English at a local community college. He was 73! He had me cut a thin rope and then tied a knot and then fixed the rope! It was back to one piece of rope! We were very impressed :)
After Pike's Place we went to dinner at a fun pizza place and explored the big mall thing. The older kids got to go get gelatto with dad and sat in front of a big fire to eat it.

The next day was my favorite. I got a pumpkin spice steamer with soy milk and shared a bagel with Ruby. Free and I went up to the lobby to sip our steamers and talk. When you get him alone and really have time to listen to him, Free can be a very mature, funny boy! I love him so much! Then we went to a beautiful farmers' market and made shadow boxes at a museum. Then we did what my parents were so excited about. Visited Jonathan and Petrina's farm! It was very picturesque, cold, and interesting. They were growing all sorts of things and the old barn and vegetation was perfect! Jonathan is so funny and his little boy Griffin is adorable. I've heard some pretty...interesting stories about him and my mom back in the day ;) We also visited the space needle!

The drive home was rough. We did stop at the same store we did on the way up which was so cute. They had antiques, delicious apples, crazy flavors of taffy, jam, and much more. We bought apples, an old guitar and antique marbles!

Now we're home and I am still craving the foggy weather and pumpkin spice steamers!

Good News

Senior year is almost three-fourths over. And I know fourth term is just going to fly by! Moonlight, Spring Concert, Prom, AP tests, college enrollments, Graduation! Speaking of college... I got a housing scholarship to UVU!!!! I am so excited and very surprised. I wasn't really expecting it, and when I refreshed my email on my phone, walking back into Dance Company, I jumped for joy!! The scholarship covers 2/3 of the cost for room. I also have a full tuition scholarship. There are 400 students out of the total 30,000 in the Honors program, 150 are Freshman and 36 Freshman get the housing scholarship. So fees, books, about $200 per month for the apartment and food is all I need to pay. Hopefully, the Regents Scholarship will work out and cover most of that stuff! I'm so humbled, grateful, and excited to be starting this new chapter. I think, deep down I've wanted to go to UVU since my first workshop there. Now this kind of gives me the assertion that it's the right...

Help!

Since I'm making the important college decision in a few months, give me some advice! What was your favorite part of your college experience? Do you feel the one you attended was the best choice? Did you stick to the major you went in declaring? If you lived in a dorm, how was it? Thanks!

Apartment 51

My roommates are the best roommates of all time. We had a dance party the other day where Emmy introduced me to the 'nae nae song'. Can you believe I'd never heard it? I know. Emmy has quite the moves too. Gentry was doing laundry, which is an event because she actually does it the right way. Cold, warm washes; darks, whites, color, reds. The works. It took a few hours, so Emmy and I stayed up with her jamming out and chatting. We got a little depressed at how ugly our living room was because we'd had FHE at a guys' apartment earlier and their apartment was amazing. Framed vinyl records, leather sofa, big-screen TV, Ikea spice holders, quotes. We were put to shame. So we decided to put up a bunch of pictures on our wall. It now holds Gentry's towing ticket, pictures, The Living Christ, Proclamation to the Family, my Broadway tickets, a map of San Francisco and more. It definitely cheers up the room. We are going to hang a banner thing up too so we can hang temp...
