No Longer 16 going on 17

 Yum!

I gave a talk on Sunday that I'll post later. My red lipstick from recital stained by lips in random places so I had to just reapply so it was at least even. It didn't end up looking horrible!

Trying on a 1.2 million dollar wedding ring at O.C. Tanner, just for fun! When he said the price, I got nauseous! haha, I'd be way too scared to wear something that expensive.
We tried to see Angela's artwork, but the gallery was closed. We peeked in and saw one of her pieces that was inspired by the pictures we took on our trip to Copenhagen! :) Amazing art!!
Alright, so...I love looking at wedding rings and rings in general. We went into a little jewelers on Main Street in Park City. My dad mentioned to the lady that it was my birthday and she said they had a section of amethysts; my birthstone! She let me try one on and I loved it. It's a tricut which has religious significance because of the trinity and it's also said to provide protection. My dad asked the price, and asked "Well do you want it?" I couldn't believe it! Of course I did, but did I really want him to buy me something so nice after everything else he's done? He insisted and after a quick sizing...it was mine!
The lady was really nice. She was from Sweden and we chatted about our trip to Copenhagen a few months ago.

My dad bought me a book at Dolley's Bookstore.
Dinner at Grappa was amazing! We got thee best table and the yummiest food. I got chicken with mashed potatoes, and some greens. My dad got crusted salmon and a zuccini side (the menu described it much better, my description didn't do the flavors justice!) We also got a pita pizza thing for an appetizer. It had lots of fresh veggies and it was the best flatbread I've ever had!! And the bread...oh the bread! :)

My friends are pretty much the greatest!
Truffle dessert! The semisweet chocolate one was the best. That one's not pictured because we ate it on a bench in PC while we waited for the ring to be sized one half size smaller

The book Popular. It was funny and cute and entertaining. I'd been intrigued because it was written by a fifteen-year-old. A great summer read!
The morning was spent being Ana teaching a bunch of cute kids about ballet and crafts

BEST DAD IN THE WORLD!.... and the best flatbread in the world ;)

This song came on on the way to the Ranch. My dad is the Magic Man and the day was as magical as one spent in Paris. Which is saying a lot.

Thanks Mom and Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Help by Kathryn Stockett The Help is a great book for young adults and mature teenagers. It is education, funny and insightful. It is 444 pages, but a definite page turner. I rated it 5-stars because it is such a great book. It is basically about how unfairly African-Americans were treated in the 1950s and 60s. It changes perspective about every chapter, but it's fairly easy to follow along. It is from the point of view of 3 women from Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960's. Aibileen, Minny and Miss Skeeter are the narrators. I thought it was unique that it had more than one narrator and it allowed you to understand the story much better. Aibileen (my favorite character) is a black women who is "the Help" to Miss Leefolt. She is kind, wise and smart. Throughout the story she develops a strong bond between Miss Leefolt's little girl, Mae Mobley. Miss Leefolt is very strict and rather  oblivious to Mae Mobley. She doesn't really know how to raise her, so Aibil...

Good bye Nutcracker

Nutcracker is over and I'm sad! It was so much fun and I made great memories. I fell on the last night during the Maid dance which was a bummer. My tray flew off my hand when I fell even with the strap on the bottom. I just pretended it was on purpose and made some hand gestures like I gasped and then walked off. Luckily it was at the end of the dance. I still had Waltz and finale and I wasn't going to let one fall make me sad or not do my best the rest of the time. Strangely afterwords I felt really calm and didn't really care until after party scene. It was kind of funny and I didn't hurt myself. The weird thing was that right before the performance I felt like I was going to trip or fall....and I did. Hahaha, well I'm just the really clumsy maid now :)  Maddie is a pro photo bomber. I just wish she'd bombed one of the bad pictures instead!  My favors for the Waltz gals  Emma being me...haha she'd be a great Maid! :) Love her  Cutie...

Apartment 51

My roommates are the best roommates of all time. We had a dance party the other day where Emmy introduced me to the 'nae nae song'. Can you believe I'd never heard it? I know. Emmy has quite the moves too. Gentry was doing laundry, which is an event because she actually does it the right way. Cold, warm washes; darks, whites, color, reds. The works. It took a few hours, so Emmy and I stayed up with her jamming out and chatting. We got a little depressed at how ugly our living room was because we'd had FHE at a guys' apartment earlier and their apartment was amazing. Framed vinyl records, leather sofa, big-screen TV, Ikea spice holders, quotes. We were put to shame. So we decided to put up a bunch of pictures on our wall. It now holds Gentry's towing ticket, pictures, The Living Christ, Proclamation to the Family, my Broadway tickets, a map of San Francisco and more. It definitely cheers up the room. We are going to hang a banner thing up too so we can hang temp...
