A day after coming home from California, my parents left at 10 pm to drive to Las Vegas and board a flight to Hawaii. Now there were four more kids to keep track of and a whole week to do it! My mom made a schedule for each day. It was expertly planned and she kept it as simple as possible. I don't know how she does it on a daily basis, and ours was the simplified version! Early morning music lessons were canceled, and lots of the kids had rides to other lessons. I did a little bit of driving, but not as much as my mom. Lots of trips to the studio and school of course, sometimes the store, that was about it.
We had tons of help...Thanks Audrey, Sarah, Michelle Butler, grandma/grandpa, Jen Ramsdel, Jennie and Nikki!!!!
I took Tizzy and Tolly to Dylan's on Friday night. They were cute. We got ice cream cones and some fries. I tried to channel my inner-Circe by being calm and laid-back while Tizzy swished her ice cream in the air, narrowly missing the window and my hair and Tolly whined about a toy from the quarter-machine. I'm working on it but improving! :)
Saturday was our funnest day. We went to Bowman's to decorate some free Valentine's sugar cookies. Then we dropped Ruby off at home to babysit the little Kings. Then we ordered and picked up a large pineapple pizza from our favorite place: David's Pizza. We took it to the park and had a picnic and played on the playground. The weather was so nice and the mountains were gorgeous! Then we went to the library, I finally let Freestone and Tolly go to the Haj and then we headed home to play with Abe, Ro and Esmae. *The Haj is a gaming store in K-town where you can buy magic cards and...well I don't know what else. It's not really my thing haha :)
My parents got home this morning at 4:30 am. They're probably exhausted but still got up and gave us presents! I got some Hawaiian chocolate (I got some from my kindergarten teacher when she went and I still remembered it and asked for some :)) and a seashell necklace, a Hawaiian skirt wrap, a book and a bracelet. I didn't see my parents until after I came home from Mission Prep, as 8:30 and I was so happy to see them! Even though I of course missed them, I quickly got used to not having them and didn't really think about it that much. Sorry mom and dad! But I think I'm ready for college :)
So this week taught me that....
A) I do not want kids any time soon
B) I do want kids eventually
C) Tizzy always wants to wear her Let it Go outfit
D) If Ari says ordering pizza was just part of an imaginary game, do not believe her
E) Moms are amazing
F) Staying busy doing fun stuff is the best way to go when you have seven kids-No wonder my mom is such a good mom
oh and G) Groceries are expensive!

You all did a good job of being boxcar children. Thanks for taking care of the brood. You are so reliable and capable! I have no doubt you're ready to conquer the world!
