The last performance did go well! I only had my  jazz dance, but I lingered backstage to watch Lexie and Ruby's ballet dance, they both did amazingly! Xanthe was the cutest leader of the Pirates and Ari did great in ballet and modern. We didn't find out on Monday, but on Thursday we found out our ballet placements. Thankfully, I moved up and I'm in Advanced 1. Ruby skipped a level and made it to Intermediate 111! Looks like we're both on track to make it to Company! We were so relieved! We worked so hard this year in dance and we're both in love with ballet. I tried to work on using my stomach muscles, having energy in my arms, and getting a double on pointe this year. I always have things to work on, but I feel like I really improved those things this year. My new goals for next year are to get a triple, get a six-pack:), get my middle splits, make my back more flexible, and learn the combinations faster. I can't wait to go back to Clytie's, but I don'
Recital week has been so much fun! My dances were... ballet; Virgo, modern; Shadows, jazz; Night Sky. All my teachers were amazing and I'm so blessed to go to such a great ballet school. I love it! Recital week wouldn't be recital week without a party in the back of the minivan with Lexie having a laughing fit. After the dress rehearsal we rocked out to Sweet Caroline, Lucky I'm in Love, Party in the USA, and Everybody Talks. (After going to an Italian Ice and frozen custard place) Lexie, Ruby, Esmae, Charlie, Ari, and Xanthe did so well in the recital. Lex and Rubes have gotten so good en pointe and always look gorgeous on stage. And thanks everyone who came to see us! We find out what class we're in on Monday, and I'm super nervous, but I'm just trying to focus on my Birthday today! What's better than 2 performances on your Birthday?!    Here's to the last performance! Hope it goes well!

In my big extended family, Memorial Day=Lagoon Day! The Sunday before Memorial Day is when we visit the graves, leave flowers, then have a spaghetti dinner at my house. My grandma has been going to Lagoon on this day since she was little, so it's a fun family tradition. We got their before it opened and dad, Ruby, and Ari went to hit the new ride; Air Race before the line got too long. Xanthe wasn't tall enough to ride it, so I went on some other rides with her. Her favorite ride is Bombora and the Jumping Chinese Dragon. Tolly loves the whales and I even took him on Ladybug Bop. His face was priceless! He didn't cry, but when we went down he looked worried and tightened up his mouth. He said that it tickled his tummy. Even Tizzy went on one ride, the Little Tidalwave. It almost put her to sleep! One of the best parts of Lagoon Day are grandma's chocolate chews, delish! 9th grade Lagoon Day was just as fun. I went over to my friend Alexa's house to h

Summer!

So far this summer has been so much fun! Music Man, the pool, Yogotogo, Kaysville Theatre, Marching Band, making a bonnet for Trek, BBQs, and dancing are some of the things I've done. The ballet recital is next week and I can't wait for the stage lights, tons of mousse, and costumes and makeup that come with it!

76 Trombones

...Hit the counterpoint! June 7th-9th I was in The Music Man. Jana Dearden put it on and we performed at Weber State. I got to play Zaneeta; the absentminded, girlie mayor's daughter. I was double-cast with the director's daughter, Hayley. It was fun to be a dancer and Zaneeta too. I had 4 dance partners and all the dances were long and challenging. It was awesome to be in a musical that involved more than grapevines and hit-ball-changes!:) The costumes were fun and very 1910. This was one of my favorite musicals thus far. Thanks to the cast, directors, friends/family who came, and my parents for driving me to rehearsals! Ye Gads! Me and 'Tommy Dijlas' (Tiernan) Abby and Alyssa, such good friends!:) Katie, Emma, Maddee, Me, Collin, Megan
