Sorry I've been such a blog slacker! Let me catch you up: Tizzy turned one, we had a Chinese New Year party for hundred or more people, I had a symphony performance at Abravanel Hall, I had 5 tests in the past two days, I read The Count of Monte Cristo, talked dreamily about a small but possible chance of going to France in the summer, saw Cinderella by Ballet West, learned the Spanish dance from The Nutcracker, and tried out for Ballet West Academy. There.  Anyway, read my next post

You know you have a good mom when...

~She always drives you and your friends to Ballet West dress rehearsal performances ~She chose her friends so wisely they drop off delicious food when she couldn't go to their weekly lunch ~She shares the delicious food with you when you come home from school and had skipped lunch ~She writes nice blogs about you ~She drives to Salt Lake to listen to you play in Youth Symphony ~She takes you to get new tights at Pat's for an audition ~She lets you audition for your dream ~She teaches you the difference between your and you're, to, too and two ~She checks your grades and helps you with homework ~She doesn't believe in off year birthday parties

My little Valentine

Today is Tizzy's last day of being zero! Tomorrow she will be a whole year old! I can't believe it! She is so adorable and I'm so glad she made it into our family, barely!:) Tizzy, you've done a lot in your 12 short months. You have laughed, learned to walk (to me), been to Paris, California, Florida, made our Valentine's Day special, and made our house a little cuter. You are our little blue-eyed, strawberry-locked, plump cheeked, serious, curious, wonderful baby! I love you Tziporah Elizabeth!

Well I thought this was a pretty cool date, dontcha think? And it was Lexie's birthday (Happy late Birthday Lex!) but the surplus of ones and threes just gave me an excuse to do something fun. Ballet was fun. Check. Dropping something off at Lexie's house was fun. Check. Then, I had been craving a Magnum bar all day and so my mom made a deal that if I practiced and did my homework, she'd take Ruby and I to get one. So she dropped Ari off at basketball then Ruby and I went in to Smith's alone and looked at the prices. They seemed a little high for just three (but deliciously magical) ice cream bars, so we got two gallons of ice cream instead for only a few extra dollars. When we got into the car we told her they seemed too pricey and my mom said 'Oh that's not that bad." Ruby and I looked at each other thinking Why didn't we just get them? So my mom turned around, handed us a $5 bill and said YOLO! Go get them. So we did. And they were amazingly delightf
