My parents get home tonight and I'm pretty excited about it! It's been a fun couple of days, but I am definitely ready to have them back. The kids on occasion down right said no to something I asked them to do and now I know why my mom is always asking us to clean up after ourselves. Seriously! The house was clean and then BAM they ate lunch or got a project out. They don't  put things away or clean up after themselves without nagging. I getcha now mom! But on the upside, we spent more time together, I realized just how organized, patient and energetic my mom is, and I got we got dinner brought to us twice :) With the hardest term of my life now over and babysitting coming to an end I'm ready for some fun things and lots of rest! Right after I finish my AP U.S. History assignment....
What makes a person them? I just read someone's blog that said she used to define herself through work and school. Now that she's a stay at home wife and soon to be mother, she was excited to find out who she was. So, what defines a person? Can a person really be defined? What do you have to strip down to find the real, core of the person? Do you have to strip away anything? Is the whole part of a person who they are? Some say they define themselves through their children. This is because they have tried to pass down their best qualities, their experiences and lessons learned, and a few of their unique quirks. I think I can define myself through dance and music. Not--

2013: A Year in Review

I wasn't ready for 2014. It seemed too weird that it was already January, that the next year would be the year I graduate. 2013 still felt like a shiny new penny. So many fun events, amazing memories and important lessons happened in 2013. But 2012 felt that way too, and so will 2014 in the end. I'm excited for the new year and everything up ahead. Here's a list of 2013 highlights.... ~Marching in the Rose Parade (After a huge snow storm and lots of driving) ~Making Dance Co. ~Finishing Sophomore year ~Passing the AP World Civilizations exam ~Going to NYC with Ruby and my dad ~Spending almost two months in Europe ~Creating amazing friendships with the people we stayed with ~Making Wind Ensemble and getting a Superior at flute federation ~Going to Seattle with the family ~Going to California with the whole family ~Watching Tizzy grow ~Trips to Park City ~Discovering bubble tea ~My new room! and later my own bathroom ~Meeting the family in Washington

Family Pictures!

We took the Dopp family pictures on the 30th. I think the last time we did this I was in Elementary and the last just grandkid photo in Grandma's house is missing half the kids and Lexie's hair was attacking my face :) hahaha, so it was time for an updated snapshot, and now since all the families are done having kids, everyone could be in it. We took the pictures in an old train station that Grandpa actually used to work at. Grandma would come pick him up on Friday nights so they could go on a date after he worked on the rails. They are so cute and still so in love. The pictures were fun and I can't wait to see the finished prodect. Even though it was my parents' anniversary, dad took me, Ruby, Ari and Free to dinner on main street right by the station. We went to Lucky Slice pizza and a bubble tea place. Right after Ruby said "There should be more pizza by the slice places," I saw the Lucky Slice pizza! It was so good!! Ruby and I pretended we were in New Y

ACT results

Well, obviously since I'm posting about this, I didn't get a horrible score. Still not the one I want to end up with, but acceptable. At least I got my goal; get 26 or higher (because of the Regents Scholarship). I got a 27 !! The test is out of 36 and Utah's average is 20. My Reading was 32, but my math score brought me down. My ending goal is to get 30 or above. Once I study for math and ace the English I think it's possible. Wish me luck for the March testing!!

Happy New Year!

2014 will be a great year! It's 1:46 am right now so I will blog more tomorrow but I just can't believe it's January and the start of another brand new year! Yay for 2k14!!! On New Years Eve I went to a friends house to party! We watched Back to the Future and had treats, played games, and talked. We counted down, watched the ball drop, made fun of Miley Cyrus. There were a lot of people so it was really fun. On New Years Day we visited Nana, saw Frozen, went to Coco's and dad, mom and Ruby and I went to dinner. I'd been wanting to go to Rio Grande for awhile so we drove up to SLC. When we got there it was closed! So, change of plans, we went to Royal India in Bountiful instead. I'm so glad we did!! I love Indian food and it was delicious!! We got garlic, regular and a sweet naan and lamb sagg, coconut chicken and butter chicken and a mango lasse! Heaven. It was fun to just spend time with my parents and Ruby. They are really good about taking time to give u
