Spectacular

New York New York piece choreographed by Ashley, Chloe and Aimee. I'm 3rd from left :) The Hunt choreographed by Alexis. The girls are vampires trying to kill Connor.....Ruby was in this one, I was in New York New York The auditorium's fundraiser is called the Performing Arts Spectacular and yesterday and Wednesday night were the performances. It was so fun! Kind of a low stress, high energy type performance. We also performed No Light, choreographed by Brayden Singley (who's now on a mish in Washington!) which we performed at the Welcome Assembly as well. Now the parents got to see it! I love that dance. It's so beautiful and inspiring with the yellow rose petals, strong movements and meaning behind the movement. After the performance on Wednesday, Emily and I went and asked to Halloween. Ruby tagged along too, but didn't ask since she's not 16 :) I didn't have anything prepared, so we just went to Emily's got some candy and printed identical pag

Dance Company Lunch

Last year I hosted a Nutcracker lunch and a Dance Company lunch at our house. It turned out so fun that this year DC is doing them twice a month! It started out as just once, but too many moms wanted to host :) Do we have the best support ever or what?? So, today we was supposed to be the day but we had team pictures taken during DC period and we left during lunch to arrive on time. So instead we did it on Wednesday. It was so fun! My mom had bagels, cream cheese, forks and apple juice all waiting for us on the tables to cut down on wasting time waiting in line. She had three large, identical salads, and delicious Greek yogurt/chocolate mousse/coconut/hazelnut desserts all ready to go. It was such a nice, relaxing, fun thing to do with my friends and everything was delicious! My mom really is the best. Her enthusiasm and willingness to do things for me astounds me. She is constantly serving me and my family. She never complains. She doesn't even think of it as sacrifice. To her, i

Quotes I like

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”  ―  Albert Einstein “Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”  ―  George Bernard Shaw "If I get married, I want to be very married"  -Audrey Hepburn "Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering - because you can't take it in all at once.” ―  Audrey Hepburn "Things will always be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." -John Lennon

Nutcracker Auditions

were yesterday and our family had four of them. Five kids auditioning, three judges, ten hours of trying out between us, two pairs of pointe shoes, four ribbons, 1 pair of black ballet shoes, limited spots and 50 hours of waiting for results. Ruby and I had auditions at 8 am til 10 am. All the other audition groups got their numbers by height, the shortest girl being number one. Our group didn't do that, so Jennifer (the teacher in charge this year) started telling us to come get numbers. No one wanted to be number one, so I volunteered as tribute ;) Also, a few years ago I met Christiana Bennett with Lexie and Ruby and one of her audition tips was to always try to be in the first group. Besides, I wouldn't have time to forget the combination of psych myself out watching the other girls. So #1 it was. I was in Emma, Alecia and Chloe's group. We did an echappe combination, then a pirouette one, a jumping one, then piques and chaines one at a time from the corner, then a

First Week of Sr. Year

Last week was one I was not excited about. In fact, I was dreading it. Senior year seemed like such a big deal, with so many responsibilities, changes, and expectations. And what if it wasn't as fun as everyone else says it will be? Well, the first day I had French, Physics, Seminary and AP Art History. The day went on without a glitch. I have friends in every class and the subjects actually interest me. Physics is nothing compared to Honors Chemistry last year. The new French teacher is really good, seminary is always great, and the Art History teacher is amazing. B day was just as good. AP English, CE Math 1050, Interior Design and Dance Company. On Friday I went to my friend's house and had s'mores and watched Emperor's New Groove. After the movie we talked. It was pretty late and we'd just finished the first week of Senior year, so we were all so out of it. We laughed at everything. Saturday, Jess threw Emily and Zach a surprise party. It was their birthda
