Wanderlust

This summer is going to be one for the books. I mean, all of them have been, but this one will be simply amazing. I know because we have a flight booked (no return one however), an apartment in Paris ready for June, plans for meeting our Euro friends, and tons of friends leaving on missions. It's all very exciting, new, unknown, adventurous, and bitter sweet. I mean I'm graduating High School and turning eighteen!!!! It's crazy! When I read or hear or look at pictures from my mom's Europe trips at about my age, I get butterflies. I've heard these stories since I was little, and now I'm living my own! I never would have dreamed I'd get to go to Europe every year of my High School experience, or that I'd create friendships thousands of miles away. It all just happened! Well...it didn't just happen.  I cannot honestly complete the sentence "I am" because mankind hasn't come up with a word to encompass enough to describe my inner-self. The statement would turn into a horribly terrifying run-on sentence. Nevertheless, I will now try to encapsulate who I am into a few words. It’s really hard to compress identity and feelings and stories into words. At least words that sound good, that flow, and that have any measure of clarity. I should know, I want to be an author. However, I’m discovering the alphabet’s ability to convey the deepest thoughts and make intangible feelings somewhat concrete. So thank you for allowing me to further this exploration by asking of me a question that’s nearly impossible to define: who Golda Cristine Dopp is. I am a lover of many things.
